Usman Khan
(HE/HIM)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MACP, BSc
Meet Usman — a warm, compassionate South Asian therapist who creates a safe, non-judgmental space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. Fluent in both English and Urdu, Usman brings a culturally sensitive lens to therapy that helps clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, Usman is here to walk alongside you with empathy and respect.

As a South Asian male, Usman brings unique insight into the lived experiences of men navigating emotional challenges, identity, cultural expectations, and family dynamics. He is passionate about breaking down the stigma around men’s mental health and providing a supportive space where men can open up, process, and heal without fear of judgment.

Usman brings a rich and diverse background to his clinical work. Most recently, he served as a Clinical Psychotherapist Intern, supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups across a wide range of mental health concerns. Through thoughtful assessments, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based approaches, Usman empowers clients to build tools for managing distress, strengthening relationships, and cultivating emotional resilience.

His experience is further shaped by his research work at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where he contributed to national opioid de-implementation and stewardship programs. This deepened his understanding of addiction and mental health at both the individual and systemic levels, and strengthened his commitment to inclusive, accessible care.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Usman has also gained meaningful experiences in family medicine and psychiatric care settings. There, he observed psychiatric assessments, engaged in patient-centered conversations, and supported individuals navigating complex issues like mood disorders, psychosis, and substance use. These experiences have given him a well-rounded, holistic view of mental health that he brings into every session.

Above all, Usman believes that therapy should feel like a partnership — one rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion. Whether you're new to therapy or returning to it with fresh goals, he will meet you where you are, honour your story, and help you navigate your next steps forward.

You don’t have to go through this alone. Reach out today to book a free consultation with Usman and begin your journey toward clarity, connection, and healing. Your path to change starts here — let’s take that first step together.
